143 image 1882-CC (GSA) MS60+ w/ rainbow toning on the bottom half of the obv. From the "Mixed Dates" offering of the 1970s GSA Sale, these coins were culled out of the "uncirculated" category by non-numismatists because of their color despite being fully mint-state. Rainbow-colored coins became instant favorites and are still very popular today. (Image) (imageb) (All Images)

153 image 1892-O AU detail. This issue is one of the most poorly-struck in the entire Morgan Dollars series as most examples lack central ear and hair detail, however the fairly strong strike on the present example is an exception. Unfortunately, there are hairlines from an old cleaning. (Image) (imageb) (All Images)

159 image 1898-S ANACS MS60 Details - Cleaned. ANACS is the "little brother" to the more prominent grading services PCGS & NGC, and has to grade coins harshly to maintain credibility in the industry. Grading opinions differ but our conjecture is that the coin should have straight-graded AU58. (Image) (imageb) (All Images)
