102 5R, 14R, 34R imageMexico, 1856-66 Issues, defaced reproduction plates. Three plates of the 1856 8r Hidalgo, 1864 Hidalgo (blank value tablet) & 1866 50c Maximilian issues, steel or copper engraved printing plates showing a single very similar image, each with M.E.P.S.I. certificate stating that it is of unknown origin and not the original government plate as it differs from the original stamp, these plates do not appear to be the ones used for common reprints or known forgeries, so maybe it was produced for printing catalogs, albums or for training engravers, design shows a crossing line at center, each includes two recent prints in black from the plates, Very Fine, very unusual items that would be an interesting and eye-catching addition to a specialized collection or exhibit, with 2020 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.
