3515 o      imageNicaragua, Alpha-Numeric (Letter-Numeral) Cancellations on Stamps Collection, 1869-89. Scott 3-7 perforated, Scott 8-12 rouletted and Scott 13-18 perforated, this collection in a 32 side stockbook was started over 40 years ago and as at this date has only 30 possible values missing out of 228 (includes table for all 556 copies), the owner was the co-sponsor of the survey in June 200 of "The Alpha-Numeric Cancellations of Nicaragua" an illustrated copy of which formed a part of this collection, the source of the material for sale originated mainly from the collection of Mr. Killian Nathan of Switzerland and Mr. Brian Moorhouse of the UK., a condensed listing of the contents (1/S 26, 2/R 55, 3/G 76, 4/J 21. 5/M 35, 6/M 84, 7/L type1 43, type2 13, type3 18, 8/CH 50, 9/C 51, 10/O 21, 11/M 22, 12/J 20 and 13/N 41); such a collection takes many decades to assemble because of the scarcity of the relevant material, in addition there are 13 copies with an oval "GRANADA" cancel, the broken "M" cancel of Managua has 2 copies and there is an intaglio "Correo Telegrapho" cancel on a 15c of the 1882 issue.
