A COLORFUL AND RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE BUREAU-OVERPRINTED OFFICES IN CHINA ISSUE USED ON COVER.

In the Siegel Drucker sale, a similar use from the same correspondence contained the original letter from Theodore Siddall, a stamp dealer, to his famous American colleague, Eugene Klein. Siddall sending ten sets by mail and commenting "the American post office is the least accommodating of all the offices here, and anyway their cancellation is the worst of all".

AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 1¢ GREEN BALTIMORE CARRIER ISSUE - CONSIDERED TO THE FINEST KNOWN OF THREE EXAMPLES ON COVER TIED BY A POSTMARK.

The 1¢ Green on White carrier stamp is the rarest of the Baltimore semi-official carrier stamps. Many of the examples on cover are uncanceled or canceled only by manuscript or pencil.
