Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, August 12,
2020 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 635 lots, with material
in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers
alike, including a selection of graded items in US, B.O.B and Federal Duck
stamps. A few of the highlights include the following:
UNITED STATES, There are about (80) U.S. lots, with a few (19) early
issues, includes a nice no. 91 with fancy cancel. There are (24) lots of
Exposition and Bureau Issues (Columbian through Pan-Pacific) with a no. 254
NH and a wonderful no.404 NH. The late 1890's and early 20th Century
issues total (14) lots. The 1930 to Date section has (24) lots, with (21)
Graded stamps; which includes (6) GEM 100!
COVERS, There are (53) Cover lots; (10) Commercial covers, including a
C2 1st day of service cover . Also, there is a selection of (43) First Day
covers, including (2) scarce Baseball Centennial FDC's.
AIRMAIL AND BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains (43) lots of Airmails and
Back of Book issues, including (4) Graded issues with (3) GEM-100. Also a
NH set of Zepellins (C13-15).
ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (40) lots with a selection of
Imperforates, Mis-perforations, color shifts, and includes a no. 569 (30¢
Buffalo) w/Double Transfer, a very scarce item!
GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, (112) lots from a variety of countries,
including Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Japan plus several others. Also,
a variety of collections, including a nice Italy and Colonies group.
AUTOGRAPHS & MISCELLANEOUS, There are (7) Autograph items. Also, (4)
other Miscellaneous lots i.e., Remarques and Literature.
DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State)
contains about (270) lots, which include (14) Souvenir Cards, (8) Licenses,
(5) Federal FDC's, (4) Federal & (7) State Collections, (27) Plate Number
Singles, (86) Federal Duck issues, including (12) Graded; (6) Mini-sheets;
(7) Press Sheet items, (8) Duck Errors, and about (35) Federal and State
Artist Signed; a selection of (9) State duck stamps, (12) Governor's
Edition lots, and (23) Conservation and Fishing items. The sale ends with a
