Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, May 27, 2020
at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains over 600 lots, with material
in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers
alike, including a large selection of graded items in US, B.O.B and Federal
Duck stamps. A few of the highlights include the following:
UNITED STATES, There are about (150) U.S. lots, with a few early issues
including Scott catalog numbers 1, 62B and 70c, (the violet shade); a
couple of the Exhibition issues and Washington/Franklins; also the 1930 to
Date section has about (90) Graded stamps mostly 95/98 with about 1/2 dozen
COVERS, There are 27 lots; (3) being Commercial covers and includes a
Coca-Cola advertising cover; also a selection of (24) First Day covers.
AIRMAIL AND BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains (32) lots of Airmails and
Back of Book issues, including (29) Graded issues.
ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, (5) lots with a selection of scarce
Imperforates and Mis-perfs.
GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, (93) lots from a variety of countries,
including an EXCELLENT selection of Canadian issues!
AUTOGRAPHS & MISCELLANEOUS, There is (1) Autograph on a pane of (50) 6¢
Beautification of America issues signed by "Lady Bird" Johnson. Also, (7)
Miscellaneous, remarqued (1306, C4 and C18), and a Cinderella item of Lundy
DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State)
