Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 573 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:

  • Lot 51 - #255var 5¢ CHOCOLATE, TOP PLATE BLOCK OF 6 NO. 129 AND BUREAU IMPRINT, WORN PLATE VARIETY WITH DIAGONAL LINES MISSING IN OVAL BACKGROUND, Extremely scarce!

  • COVERS, There are (45) Cover lots; (21) Commercial, including a couple of 1874 Great Britain covers to the Colorado Territory and (24) First Day covers, including seldom offered high value Prexie First day covers.
  • AIRMAIL AND BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, This section contains (46) lots of which (12) are Air Post with very attractive copies of C1-C6 , the others a mix of Postage Due, Special Delivery, and Revenue stamps. Lot 184 is a copy of Scott no. PR4 newspaper stamp.
  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, there are (18) Lots including Scott nos. 909c 5¢ Poland; 911b 5¢ Norway, and 914b 5¢ Belgium, all with reverse printing.
