Our March auction was very successful, especially the section of Proofs and Essays. We had a record number of bidders from all over the world. This auction general sale that will follow our CAPEX 22 auction has turned into more of a Specialized sale. Comprised of Canada Postal History very fine strikes of Upper Canada Double Circles; Canada 1859 10¢ Consort covers by printing order, and Semi-Official Airmails. A collection of Newfoundland including die Proofs found on their original lot sheets for the Harmer’s 1970 Dale-Lichtenstein sale. A fabulous collection of British West Africa Victoria to George VI including Gambia, Gold Coast, Lagos, Niger Coast and Protectorate, Nigeria, Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria, Niger Company Territories, Somaliland Protectorate, with PROOFS, SPECIMENS, mint, used, varieties, complete sheets, stationery including SPECIMENS unused and used, etc.

If you are interested in viewing at the show, please come by our booths 711 and 713. Since we have moved to LIVE internet bidding, we have noticed that most people like the option of not having to leave their homes, or offices, to bid. At this time, we will not be bidding on the floor for our auctions. The most important part of bidding in an auction is doing your homework and viewing the lots. Not all auction houses are the same, and descriptions sometimes can be misleading. We do our best to describe lots carefully, but sometimes, especially in large lots it is difficult for bidders to fully picture the lots. Coming in to view the numerous large lots in our sales prior to the sale will give you a great advantage over those who don’t. Please note that Friday, July 1st is Canada Day and our offices will be closed. We are still getting late bids via mail and fax even during the sale. Unfortunately, as much as we want to accept your late bids, we can’t. Please do your best to ensure your bids arrive before the sale. This public unreserved auction sale again will be held LIVE at Stamp Auction Network https://stampauctionnetwork.com/rm/rm569.cfm. Please make sure you are registered prior to the sale and feel free to bid as soon as possible or anytime during the sale. You should have this catalogue prior to the CAPEX 22 international Exhibition. For those of you who can, please take time to come by the show and help make this event an even more spectacular one. CAPEX 2022 will be in downtown Toronto June 9-12, 2022 at the International Convention Center. https://capex22.org/ R. Maresch & Son will be selling the Fred Fawn award-winning Large Queen exhibit at unreserved public auction on the Friday June 10, 2022 at 6:00 PM, after the bourse closes. We will also have some retail items available for the entirety of the show. Please come and visit us at our booths 711 and 713 to say hello again or meet us for the first time.
