137 og imageFrom the Sandy Estate: A fabulous collection, mainly mint from what would become the Aloha State. Presented a little haphazardly on quadrilled pages like those used by students for graphing, punched for a three-ring binder. Certificates for Scott #s 5, 6, 20, 24 (block of four) and UY3. Highlights throughout including 52c block of 8; 57a error in date overprint, U9 envelope limited to 2000, estimated fewer than 500 remain, Wells Fargo envelopes, postal cards and revenues including R16 block of six. Many issues have multiple copies showing variations of several overprint types. Many stamps are annotated in detail and there are many minor errors documented and presented. With some effort, this could be made into a fascinating exhibit. A unique collection crying out for a good home and albums worthy of the contents here.
