25 og/^ imageFive large boxes and one medium sized box of mounts and more mounts and more mounts. Mostly Showgard but some Prinz, many Scott packages and a few others are also present. Most are black, some are clear. There are strips, panels and pre-cut. The smallest size we saw was 22mm the largest was 228mm. Many are sealed but some have been opened and since the Scott and Prinz packages are resealable, it’s sometimes hard to tell. There is enough quantity and diversity to satisfy any collector for months if not years. A club could benefit by purchasing and then distributing or reselling to its members. A cornucopia of useful supplies. (Image) (image002) (All Images)

COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS

United States
Lot Symbol Descrip Cat. Value or Suggested Bid (S.B.)
40 og/^ imageSpectacular collection of a few thousand on expertly, detailed annotated pages in four albums to 1954 for the regular issues and to 1923 for the airmails. Includes loads of extras, both mint and used, featuring shades, cancels, multiples, position pieces, precancels plus a few covers. Starts in 1845 with a handful of Provisionals, then used #1’s and #2’s highlighted by covers. Next comes a variety of 1850’s Franklins, Washingtons and Jeffersons followed by the similar designs from the1860’s. This is where the variety of shades and cancels really kicks in. Then the 1869 issues with a variety of grill types and many included for their cancellations. The National, Continental and American Banknotes are next again, with a variety of grills, secret marks, shades and cancels. Not to be missed is the one page of the Columbians to the two-dollar sandwiched in between. The Trans-Mississippi’s and the 1902 definitives finish out the second album. The third album is wholly filled with the Washington/Franklins with all their nuances of coils, perfs and watermarks. Many of these are in pairs and strips, plate blocks and position pieces. The last page of the album must be mentioned as it contains a 505 error block of six on cover to England. The last album finishes out the regular issues again holding several specialty items. The airmails, from the final album, include more specialized material than most collections. Truly, the collector put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into this which now you can own or offer as many individual or single lots on the internet. Condition varies from average with some faults to be expected to some outstanding items.
