SHIP'S LETTER/[penguin]/SY AURORA/AAE' cachet, central vertical fold, otherwise fresh. Cat $5,500. This cover was produced when the Aurora returned to Port Adelaide. The location identifiers have been removed. Only 4 examples recorded.
Extremely rare. An example with a letter from Frank Hurley realised £11,484 in 2019 (Image1)

'BANZ/1930[penguin]-31/ANTARCTIC RESEARCH EXP.' first handstamp in black, the cover has been signed by WW Ingram, Frank Hurley, Harold Fletcher & Douglas Mawson. Accompanied by a letter from Frank Hurley's wife
