2401 C New Guinea 1945 WWII censored OAS covers (franked Australian stamps) x 6 to Australia, all ex military POs in Aitape area. All diff PO numbers incl No. 21, 23, 24, O42, 215 & 216. No. 23 is stampless, marked "F.L.M./N.S.A." (no stamps available). Good-fine A.I.F or A.M.F censor h/s (violet) x 2 with printed YMCA, ACF, Salvation Army logos. Good-(mostly) fine cond. Nice lot.

Also on front, light regn h/s with m/s "FPO 099" & fine boxed A.M.F. censor No. 4081 h/s (violet). B/s partly unclear "No. 7 AUSTRALIA BASE P.O./a" cds 6 FE 45. FPO 099 was at Lae Dec 1944-Dec 1945 & the Base P.O. at Port Moresby. Fine cond.
