Cds placed on top & barely legible circular h/s of "Forest Park Hotel" (this was one of 3 large properties that had been converted in 1916 to constitute NZ No 1 General Hospital at Brockenhurst, near Southampton). Fine cond.

Typed address of "American Gas Machine Co.", New York; imprint on flap "Quirk's Air Gas Ltd, 163 Manchester St ...". Mailed less than 1 month after the armistice. Fine.

487 C 1919 post WWI cover to Denmark (a neutral country during the war) with ½d GV x 2 & 1d Dominion, canc Palmerston North cds 11 NO 19 (exactly 1 year after the war!) with complete "PASSED BY THE MILITARY CENSOR N.Z." h/s (violet). No censor resealing strip, so contents not examined. War-time postal censorship continued on some mail abroad for over a year after the war ended. Cover with 1cm tear & small corner oil stain. Some extraneous m/s endorsements on back.
