17 Mar.-17 Apr.1936 (AAMC.P98,98a) Sydney - Brisbane cover, flown & signed by P. Hawes, together with Adelaide - Wau cover via Daru, flown by Brearley & Stephens in their DH66 Hercules "City of Adelaide" for Stephens Aviation Ltd and cancelled on arrival at Wau. [9 flown]. These flights were for the purpose of ferrying the aircraft to Wau, however the Hercules proved too heavy for operations in New Guinea. (2 covers). Cat.$700+. Ex Ray Kelly.

1855-57 (SG.3) 1/- yellow-green on blued wove paper, with four good margins, pleasing colour, and some o.g., described on the accompanying Odenweller [2012] Certificate of authenticity as "probably the only example with genuine original gum.". Cat.£60,000. An exceptional classic stamp of New Zealand.

We note that a second example, described as having "small part original gum" and with an RPSL Certificate was sold by Spink London, January 24, 2019, Lot 536 of the Pegasus Collection.
