21 January 1941 (AAMC.913) Dilli (Portuguese Timer) - Australia, first return flight cover carried by QANTAS and signed by the pilot of "Cambria", R.B. Tapp. [One of only 21 carried].

18 December 1941 (AAMC.935) Sydney - Mornington Island Christmas Mail parachute delivery flight by QANTAS; with special vignette; signed by the pilot, E.C. Sims, and the Acting Superintendent on the Island. While 114 covers were carried from Brisbane on this flight, this is one of only 28 carried from Sydney, making it, by far, the rarest of the Mornington Island covers.

11 July 1944 (AAMC.976a) One of 23 covers flown on the first RAAF "Mosquito" A52-1001, signed by RAAF pilot, Brian Walker and more than 30 others who witnessed the event.

10 Nov. 1944 (AAMC.982) Sydney - Fanning Island, registered cover, flown and signed by the pilot, P.G. Taylor aboard his Catalina "Frigate Bird" with Fanning Island arrival backstamp. (One of only 15 flown).

QANTAS INAUGURAL FLIGHT COVERS: 17-19 November 1945 (AAMC.1014-15) Australia - Fiji and return flown covers, carried and signed by Orme Denny aboard "Coriolanus" for the Fijian Government; together with 14 October 1947 (AAMC.1113-14) Sydney - Norfolk Island and return flown covers; both with special adhesive vignettes and signed by the pilot, L.R. Ambrose. (4).

18 June 1946 (AAMC.1047) Darwin - Sydney flown cover, signed by the captain and crew aboard the Halifax bomber "Waltzing Matilda" with RAAF P.O. Narromine arrival cds verso.

14 Oct. 1947 (AAMC.1113-1114) Sydney - Norfolk Island & return flown covers; both with special vignettes prepared for the QANTAS flights and both covers signed by the captain, L.R. Ambrose, who piloted the Lancastrian in both directions. (2 covers).

December 1947 (AAMC.1124 & 24a, 1125 & 25b) Qantas vignettes for the 1st regular Australia - England service: unused examples of the two vignettes together with flown covers with appropriate vignettes (plus 25th Anniversary vignette); both covers signed by the pilots. (4 items). Cat.$350+.

March 1949 (AAMC.1204, a & 1205,a) Special Qantas vignettes for the Sydney - Hong Kong survey flight & return; both vignettes FU on flown covers addressed to the Prime Minister, both signed by Capt. E.C. Sims. Accompanied on Exhibit page by matching unused examples of the vignettes. (4 items). Cat.$500.

15 March 1949 (AAMC.1204 & 1205) QANTAS first Survey flight covers to HONG KONG & Return, both signed by the Commander, Captain E.C. Sims and bearing the red and black special vignette; together with 26 June 1949 (AAMC.1218 & 1219) QANTAS First Regular flight covers to HONG KONG & Return, both signed by Captain J.M. Hampshire and bearing the special blue & black vignettes produced for these flights. (4 covers). Attractive group. Cat.$500.

14 March 1951 (AAMC.1271d) Australia - Cook Islands flown cover, carried by Captain P.G. Taylor on his Special Survey Flight from Australia to Chile in his Catalina "Frigate Bird II"; backstamped AITUTAKI.

2 June 1953 (AAMC.1318b) Qantas Coronation Day flown special airletters, each with the rectangular cachet in violet. Fifteen different, including from Port Moresby, Wellington, Vila, Honiara, Karachi, Singapore, Norfolk Island, Cocos, etc. AAMC: $750+.

5-9 September 1953 (AAMC.1322-1325a) QANTAS Inaugural flight covers: Sydney - Hollandia, Lae - Hollandia, Hollandia - Lae, and Hollandia - Sydney, with all covers bearing the special vignette prepared for each flight and all covers signed by the pilots for each flight. Also accompanied by examples of all four "Mint" vignettes with full gum. (8 items). Remarkably hard to assemble.

The 40th Anniversary of the 1917 Adelaide - Gawler Airmail flight: An album containing proof strikes (2) of the triangular vignette (2) affixed to a sheet with manuscript printing instructions, a black print sheet of proofs of the sheetlet of triangular vignettes, various other proof strikes of the vignette on card or different paper types, a flown cover signed by R.G. Carey, a complete sheetlet signed by R.G. Carey, an unflown cover with Castrol advertising, 10 complete sheetlets of the vignette (AAMC.1379a), several original press photographs, extensive newspaper clippings and advertisement cutouts. An UNIQUE group ex Nelson Eustis. 

23 November 1957 (AAMC.1379a) 40th Anniversary of the 1917 Adelaide - Gawler flight, (57) complete sheetlets of 4 vignettes, MUH. Cat.$855.

11 September 1958 (AAMC.1395a) Australia - New Zealand - Australia flown "boomerang" covers carried in both directions on the occasion of the Anniversary of Kingsford Smith's first Trans-Tasman flight, (62) Cat.$1,240.

9 June 1978 (AAMC.1846 & 1846a) Brisbane - Sydney and Brisbane - Ballina flown covers, carried by Ansett to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1928 Trans-Pacific Flight by Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm; bearing more than 30 original autographs including Norman Brearley, Harold Litchfield, Lores Bonney, Skip Moody, Keith Virtue, Bob Boulton, Ellen Rogers, Harold Affleck, Jack Clancy, G.U. Allan, Harry Purvis, etc., a Who's Who of Australian Aviation. (Only 50 of each flown and signed).
