1514 C image16 May 1941 use of 6d A.I.F. on a much-travelled Registered cover from BELLEVUE HILL to DR. Emilio de Hoffmanstahl (an ex-Austraian lawyer) in NEW YORK. With censor handstamp and tape, forward on receipt at his address in Fifth Avenue, the letter was then forwarded to the Hotel Roosevelt in Washington D.C., the Hotel Utah, in Salt Lake City and finally, to an address in Vancouver, Canada, where it appears to have found him. A particularly interesting use of the 6d A.I.F. as a singe franking. (Image) Estimate AU$100-150
