AUSTRALIA: July 1964 (AAMC.1526a) A study of the sheetlet of 4 bi-colour vignettes issued for the 50th Anniversary of the Maurice Guillaux Melbourne - Sydney flight in July 1914. The study comprises of a normal sheetlet, a sheetlet with
the pale blue dramatically misplaced downwards, a sheetlet with the red-brown dramatically misplaced downwards, a sheetlet with the pale blue (sky) completely omitted, a sheetlet with a strong offset of one unit (red-brown printing) and a sheetlet

5th Nov.1941 airmail cover from Sydney to New York VIA FIJI; franked 4/- and with "CALIFORNIA CLIPPER" handstamp in balck; censor tape and stamp at left. This was the next-to-last flight, as after the next flight on Nov.25th,
all subsequent flights were suspended because of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. The present flight (and the one on the 25th) were the only two to use FIJI as an intermediate. (Image)
