A fine mint example with large part original gum. A rare inverted overprint error. Kewkiang is located in Kiangsi Province, 458 miles up the Yangtse River from Shanghai. It was opened to foreign trade by the Treaty of Tientsin in 1858. The Kewkiang Local Post was established 1 June 1894. (Image)

Also additional shades including ½c on 3ca yellow-brown and unlisted 1c on 1ca pale vermillion. An unusually fresh and most attractive mint set with large part original gum.
