1029 O/ng 21/30 image1868/1876, Large Queen Issue, substantial mint and used collection in stockbook, a carefully arranged holding, encompassing all denominations from ½c to 15c, with a strong representation of shades, papers, and postmarks throughout, noting one ½c black, four 1c red brown including a fine unused example on thin paper, five 1c orange including a deep shade example, four 5c olive green, four 6c from light brown to dark brown shades, five 12½c blues, and five 15c examples spanning grey, violet, and slate hues, comprehensive array of over 120 examples of the 3c, much sorted by Duckworth-listed paper types, with all types represented excluding laid, including two examples on soft white blotting paper (with Greene Foundation certificates), cracked plate variety, several re-entries and plate flaws, one with an unusual unlisted uninked hairline variety (with Greene Foundation certificate), and ten stamps showing portions of the "CLUTHA MILLS" watermark, additional interest in fancy and coloured cancels, two-ring numerals, as well as multiples comprising three pairs, a strip of three, and a separated strip of four; condition naturally mixed as expected in a study of this depth, but many examples are fine or better, overall a rich specialised collection formed with care, offering tremendous potential for further research into this complex issue.
