Queen Victoria Era -- Small Queens Scott #34-47 continued...
LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
41 O/blOCK OF 4 45a image1890s, 10c dull rose Small Queen, used block of thirty two, cancelled with multiple strikes of grid obliterator in black, hinge reinforced in places, significantly between top two rows and central column, various creases and faults particularly to one stamp each in top and bottom rows, with some minor perf separation, unsurprising given the handling that must have been undertaken to deliver the package for which such a large franking would have been required, despite its flaws a striking and scarce multiple, believed to be the largest recorded used multiple of this shade.
