32 CVR   image1877 (June 19), cover from South Zorra to Ceylon via Brindisi, from the Dunlop correspondence, franked at the pre-UPU rate of 22c by 1870–1890 2c deep green and horizontal strip of four of the 5c olive green, all cancelled by seven-ring target handstamps, with South Zorra split-ring despatch at left, red London transit c.d.s. (2 Jul) on front, backstamped at Woodstock (20 Jun), Hamilton (20 Jun), and Kandy (10 Aug), the 5c strip with some clipped perforations due to separation by scissors, the 2c lifted and reaffixed, not detracting from this otherwise very fine and rare pre-UPU franking to an exotic destination, one of only a small number of such pre-UPU Small Queen covers recorded to Ceylon, all from this correspondence.
