1171 CVR   imageGroup of Schering First Day Covers, 1964-1985. From 1964 to 1972 there is a total of 63 oversize covers (most with contents, with up to 5 copies of each stamp issue). Then from 1975 to 1985, there is a total of over 400 #10 covers, with 40 different stamp issues, all in plate blocks of four, with quantities of 2 to 34 of each, all with inserts. Very fine.

1188 CVR 1, 6 image1866 Transatlantic Cover to Scotland, mailed from Charlottetown on JUL.20.1866 to Edinburgh, Scotland (scarce lovely strike of EDIN b M AUG.13 receiver on back). The cover is franked with three 2d dull rose first issues plus a 3d blue 1862-65 single paying 9d. Faults described on the (pink) 2004 Greene Foundation certificate as "... {stamps} cleaned to lighten pen cancels, heavily creased along cover crease with some perforation damage", still a rare combination franking and ex. The cover is franked with a 9d QV adhesive, tied by a #13 in bars,, with curved REGISTERED in red and "28" registration number.
