Queen Victoria Era -- Small Queens Scott #34-47 continued...
LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
468 O 34-47 imageOld Time Collection of Used Small Queens, tucked away by the owner in the 1960s, this collection is hinged onto quadrille pages in a springback album. Starts with a comprehensive collection of the ½c to the 50c with many early shades, postmarks, some jumbo copies, etc. The collection is followed by over 30 pages (hundreds of stamps) of 1c and 3c issues, also with shades and a few postmarks but nothing very early or outstanding. A nice collection overall, worth viewing in person, even though we scanned many pages. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (All Scans)

471 O/og/nh 34-47 imageOld Time Collection of Mostly Used Small Queens, tucked away by the owner in the 1960s, this small stockbook contains many nice items from the ½c to the 50c, the highlights being the many early printings, high denominations and postmarks throughout. We counted 11x 10c shades, as well as many copies of each denomination (very little Widow Weeds), noting also a page of 3c deep rose carmines, strips, some mint ½c stamps, and more. Very nice quality throughout, and we scanned a few pages online but viewing is recommended to better appreciate the value within.
