25 og 10 image1857 6d Reddish Purple Consort Imperforate on Very Thick Soft Paper, mint with large part original gum (rare thus) and three large to very large margins, and just touching outer frameline at bottom right, fine. A very nice example of this rare mint stamp, missing from even the most advanced collections. Accompanied by a 2005 Greene Foundation certificate and a 2007 Philatelic Foundation certificate, the latter stating “light staining below the right 6” which we qualify more as trivial and does not detract from this great rarity. Advanced collectors know how rare the 6d reddish purple on very thick soft paper is in mint condition, with most known examples having various faults. Finding a collectible example with original gum is a true rarity. Rsv. $10,000. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (All Scans)

Accompanied by a 2002 Behr (Paris) and 2019 Greene Foundation certificates. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (All Scans)

27 CVR 10 image6d Reddish Purple Consort Imperforate on Very Thick Soft Paper on Cross-Border Cover, mailed from Port Colborne UC on AUG.9.1858 to Madison County, New York. This cover is franked with a lovely and very fine 6d Consort imperforate on thick paper, with four large to huge margins (showing next stamp at bottom), tied by a neat target in red. Still contains its original three page, very well written letter. The cover has repaired tears on back, still very fine appearance and this stamp is quite scarce with any red postmark, plus it is not very common on cover. Ex. Daniel Cantor collection (2011). Accompanied by a 1998 Greene Foundation certificate. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (All Scans)

28 ng 11 image1858 ½d Rose Queen Victoria, Perforated 11¾, unused (no gum), very fresh and well centered, extremely fine. A lovely stamp in all respects, accompanied by a 1986 and 2014 Greene Certificate. The ½d perforated is a relatively difficult stamp to find in mint or unused condition, with most recorded examples being poorly centered and;/or with faults. The example from the “Outaouais” collection possesses a near-perfect centering, a true condition rarity for Canada’s first perforated stamp issue. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (All Scans)

34 og 13 image1859 6d Brown Violet Consort, Perforated 11¾, mint with full original gum, slightly disturbed. This lovely stamp has deep rich colour and a crisp impression. A very well centered stamp as well, as even the nicest mint examples are often off-center. There are two clear intersecting guidelines in the bottom left margin, adding to the desirability of this stamp. A truly stunning stamp in all respects, quite fresh and very fine. Accompanied by 1966 and a 2007 Philatelic Foundation certificates, as well as a 2020 Greene Foundation certificate. Surely one of the nicest mint examples of this rare stamp. Rsv. $25,000.
