931 O   imageCollection of Postmarks on Small Queens, with a few hundred total, mostly 3c Small Queens, collected for three major categories: squared circles, dated town cancels and fancy or other postmarks. The squared circles are still in their envelopes (x32) on which the owner wrote the annual income of the post offices, in order to determine the scarcity. Some have been described as rare, such as Windsor Mills, Union, Williamstown, Nassagaweya, Berlin, etc. Unchecked by us as for rare strikes or better dates. Also includes a town cancel collection, sorted in envelopes as per year of the postmark, as the owner was working on a callendar collection. Lastly are a number of other types of postmarks, such as fancy. We note a "Bogey Face", a 4-ring #20, etc. Some town postmarks we note include Ochre River Man, Hennigar NS, Buttonville Ont, Village Richelieu Que, etc. We scanned just a few of the better postmarks contained in this lot, so we recommend careful viewing. This lot has not been seen since at least 1964 when the owner passed, and is from the estate of Louis Sidney Crosby (see introduction before the PEI section). (Scan a) Est $ 200
