Cruikshank created nearly 10,000 prints, illustrations, and plates. There are collections of his works in the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. He never fathered any children with either of his two wives, but upon his death, we learned that Cruikshank had fathered 11 children with a former maid turned mistress named Adelaide Attree 'Archibold'.
