The recipient of this wrapper, Henry Browne Blackwell (May 4, 1825 - September 7, 1909), was one of the founders of Abraham Lincoln-+s Republican Party and the American Woman Suffrage Association. He was also the brother of Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to earn a medical degree in the US, and the husband of Lucy Stone, an important advocate for woman's rights in the 1840's until her death in 1893.
