MOSTLY WESTERN EUROPE USED ACCUMULATION Accumulation of mostly used stamps in albums and sorted into stockbooks. We noted Scott albums of mostly used Germany, Berlin and East Germany plus another for Belgium. The stockbooks hold
manila pages with thousands upon thousands of mostly used stamps, again, from Germany and Berlin, another for Latin America, Canada and finally a binder of large size souvenir sheets that are mostly mint. A small envelope holds a group of useful
material, among this group we especially noted two valuable Germany items: block of 16 #440 and a block of 12 of #441 (both NH - catalog value $1180). Also in this envelope is a small group of mostly Iran forgeries that the owner cataloged $1600.

COLLECTORS CLOSET ACCUMULATION Overflowing with stockcards, glassines, presentation folders, sheets and souvenir sheets. The best material that we discovered is found among a small group of Courvoisier presentation folders from the
early 1950s, which includes Angola Birds (Scott# 333-56), Poland souvenir sheet (Scott# 412a) never hinged, Portuguese Guinea Natives (Scott# 258-70), and Switzerland Lifeboat souvenir sheet, both mint and used (Scott# B143). A careful look at the
stockcard selection will also prove rewarding since there are additional better items to be found among these as well. There are loose album pages, and hundreds of glassines. Many of the glassines hold very recent Western Europe new issues.
Finally, we noted a significant accumulation of Frama labels, mostly from Western Europe, though some British Commonwealth. Reserve a few minutes to peruse this material. |
