 2/JA/1928 First flight IQUITOS - Lima: Cover franked by Sc.C1 pair + other values, it was carried by seaplane on 3/JA from Iquitos to Masisea, and from there by byplane to La Merced and then by ground mail through the Andes to arrive in
Lima on 10/JA, thus reducing the delivery time to one week compared to the usual delay of one month by gound mail. The additional postage for the airmail service was of 1S. Excellent and rare! (Image) (Image-02)
