338 OT7, 9 imageOfficial Telegraphs. 1884 5r black and 25r black on coarse toned wove, USED WHOLE STAMPS, with matching framed "SRINA(GAR)" office cancels. The 5r sound, the 25r defective (tears and creases), still presentable and likely the only surviving example in used condition, making it one of the rarest Telegraph stamps in the world. An amazing pair, with the 5r value also previously unrecorded by us used whole. SG OT7, 9 (Image) Starting at £ 2,000

Currently...£2,000.00
Selling...USD 2,608.80
Closing..May-10, 06:00 PM EST.
339 OT3 imageOfficial Telegraphs. 1886 (?) (26 Oct) "JAMMUANDKAHMIRSTATETELERECEIPT" for message to Simla, endorsed "Eight as Stamp" but with only an 1884 Official 4a black (left half) present (and possible fragment of a second example), indistinctly tied but surely belonging. Faults (toning and creasing), still a rare item, especially with the Official issue. SG OT3 (Image) Starting at £ 160

Currently...£160.00
Selling...USD 208.70
Closing..May-10, 06:00 PM EST.
340 T1-3, 5-6 imageOfficial Telegraphs. 1884 selection of used halves, comprising 1a (5, with a rare strip of three on fragment), 2a (2), 4a (7, with a pair on piece), 1r and 2r, generally with convincing cancels, but the 2r only with penstroke and not guaranteed, also two 2a used whole stamps with contrasting papers and cancels. Mixed condition but a rare group, with used Official stamps very seldom seen, and the rupee values unpriced thus in Part I. SG T1-3, 5-6 (Image) (Image2) image Starting at £ 240

Currently...£240.00
Selling...USD 313.06
Closing..May-10, 06:00 PM EST.

342 2 image1942(-47) 1a (light) green, IMPERFORATE pane of four on ungummed paper with wide margins all round, the spacing and cliché characteristics corresponding precisely to the known panes of SG 2. Selling...USD 2,608.80
Closing..May-10, 06:00 PM EST.
343 6 image1942-47 1a bluish green, perf 8½-9, affixed to piece (with part IND(AP ?) watermark) showing printed blue lines at top and right, tied by small seriffed CANCELLED handstamp in purple. Rare usage as a printer's sample, from an Indap publicity sheet. SG 6 (Image) Starting at £ 160

343A 2, 3 var imageJasdan. 1942-47 1a light green perf 12 (position #3 on the pane), and 1a green, perf 10½ (position #1 on the pane, deep shade close to SG 1), tied to separate pieces (the former from a sugar ration "card"), respectively by full and part strikes of large seriffed purple CANCELLED handstamp. Minor gum marks, and perf 12 with tiny corner crease, still a very scarce and most interesting pair. Probably semi-postal usage, since other sugar ration cards have the 1a postage stamp tied by circular postmark, in combination with 1a rose fiscal tied by the handstamp seen here. SG 2, 3 var.
