1933 Four Covers from
The Century of Progress Graf Zeppelin Flights, two were mailed from Akron, Ohio (OCT.25 and OCT.28), both have the purple "Century of Progress / Dispatched from Akron" cachet, one has a Chicago receiver and the other a Friedrichshafen transit on
back (one cover is faded and has a tear). Also two covers mailed from Chicago (both OCT.26), one with a map of the trip plus a "Century of Progress / Dispatch from Chicago" cachet in black (Akron backstamp) and the other has a large "Century of
Progress" cachet in red. One was posted with a "U.S. RY Postal Car Exhibit" cancel. Three are franked with the 50c green "Baby Zepp" (C18) and one with an 8c Winged Globe (C17). Very fine except where noted. (Scan 1)

Covers and 3 Cards Flown on the OCT.28 Graf Zeppelin Flight to Germany, all but one have the purple "First Flight Air Mail / via Graf Zeppelin / United States - Germany / OCT 28" and all but two are addressed to Germany (the other two Austria).
We note a vast assortment of frankings, including three with $1 values, as well as 30c and 50c values, Airmail stamps, etc. All 8 have a Friedrichshafen NOV.28.1928 receiver on back. Includes a 9th cover which was endorsed "via German airship Graf
Zeppelin" but mailed from Ohio on the day before departure, and thus received a "TOO LATE / Varick St. Sta. N.Y." handstamp. An overall fine to very fine group. (Scan 1)
