662 CVR   image1889 Mussooree to Guatemala Cover, mailed on JUL.25.1889 (squared circle cancels) to Guatemala (SEP.10 receiver) "via Brindisi" through Bombay (JUL.28), "Modane a Paris" (AUG.16), Paris (JUL.17), London (AUG.17), with a "Sea Post" JUL.30 handstamp. A 1 Anna stationery envelope uprated with a 2 Anna stamp pay the rate. A very fine and well traveled cover which took a little less thatn 2 months to arrive). 665 CVR   imageGroup of Five Stampless Folded Letters to England or France, 1839 to 1845, neatly written up on pages, collected for the routes they travelled. 1839 to London via Suez, Cairo and Alexandria, 1839 to London via Marseilles, 1841 to Bordeaux via Malta, Italy (with scarce "Paquebots de la Méditéranée" boxed handstamp in red), 1842 to London endorsed "via Falmouth" and 1845 endorsed "via Southampton" through Malta, Gibraltar, Alexandria. Each folded letter has an "INDIA" in oval (to England) or box (to France) in red, and each has a letter inside. A very fine and interesting group, surely worth our low estimate. We noted an 1820 and 1822 folded letter to Calcutta, a lovely "Dinapore / Post Paid" double oval postmark, an 1848 incoming cover from Scotland to Agra, a group of small native covers, some items mailed from States (such as a "dagger" postage due cover) and much more.
