314) and a single 2 reis Fransisco Xavier issues (CE 334). The postcard is a photo of German Catholic missionaries and their converts in India. Partial Goan postmark. Note: the Catholic missionaries were in British India but posted their mail from

Port. India 1934 registered airmail cover from Mapuca to Solothurn Switzerland franked on the back with
7 Padroes issues: 4 reis (CE 335), 8 reis (CE 337), 1 1/2 tangas (CE 339) and a block of four 2 1/2 tangas (CE 341). “Mapuca” and “Nova-Goa” registration marks tie the stamps. Partial Italian and German transit postmarks. The total of the postage is
12 1/2 tangas: 2 1/2 tangas postage, 2 tangas registration and 8 tangas airmail postage. Airmail

issues: a single 6 reis (CE 336), four 1 tangas (CE 338) and two 5 tangas (CE 343). “Margao” registration postmarks tie the stamps + a single partial “Nova-Goa” transit postmark. Boxed violet “ Margao valor declarado” handstamp on the front. Very

Port. India 1943 censored cover from Margao to Bombay, redirected to Vile Parli (Bombay suburb), back
to Goa and finally placed in the Bombay D.L.O. (Dead Letter Office). Franked on the back with 3 Padroes issues: 6 reis (CE 336) and a pair of overprinted 1 tanga on 1 1/2 tangas (CE 363). “Margao” registration label on the front. Several postmarks:
“Margao” hexagons tie the stamps, 4 “Vile Parli” arrival and transit postmarks with 4 different dates, a light “Bombay” transit postmark, and 2 dated black boxed “D.L.O. Bombay” handstamps. Also a “Dead Letter Office” label attached to the front with
2 further “D.L.O. Bombay” handstamps. Boxed Bombay “DHC/27” censor mark under the DLO label. There are several hand written notations in blue and red ink indicating the address was unknown. A very scarce and unusual item.(Image 1)

Padroes (CE 343) and 2 MH issues: 6 reis (CE 378) and 3 1/2 tangas (CE 382). Insured for 200 rupees with a hand written assessment in violet on the front and a diamond shaped “Nova-Goa VD” (valor declarado) postmark on the back. The stamps are tied
by a “Candolim” CDS. The village cancel and valor declarado postmarks are scarce. Wax seals intact. Damaged top corners.(Image 1)

rupia Padroes issue (CE 344), a pair of overprinted 3 reis on 3 rupias Padroes issues (CE 372, one damaged) and a single 9 tangas Imperio airmail issues (CE 7). All stamps tied by a “Nova-Goa” registration postmark. There are 3 New York registration

of 3 Imperio 6 reis issues (CE 351) and a single 1 tanga Imperio issue (CE 353). The stamps are tied by a scarce “Anjuna” village CDS. “Nova-Goa” transit postmark. Censor tape is tied on the front by a straight line Bombay “DHC/308” and on the back
