393 imageAzores letter sent from Ponta Delgada on April 15, 1882, to Philadelphia via Lisbon on April 23. Insufficient postage for the 10-reis stamp, right-hand side of D. Luis with the SC Azores, postmarked Ponta Delgada on April 15. The postage for the United States was 50 Reis, so this is a letter with a green 10-reis stamp (similar to the 50 Reis), with which it may have been confused. It is worth noting that this is the first letter we know of with the 10-reis stamp. MR and MB(Image 1)
