2077 imagePOSTAGE. Mozambique. Illustrated postcard of Quelimane, issued on June 9, 1913, from Quelimane, franked as printed at 8.5 cents, with Ceres de Quelimane stamps, postage in Quelimane, with the Rectangular mark, passed through Beira at June 11, to Sceaux, in France, where it arrived at June 8, postage at 10 cents. According to the 1912/3 table, the postage for a postcard abroad was 2 cents, 1 cent as printed. The postcard must have been delivered to the unfranked post office, for which it had to pay a 2-cent fine. The Quelimane stamps were added later to the circulation, as they only entered circulation in 1914.(Image 1) (Image 2)
