522 og/O   Syria French Occupation & Mandate collection, mint and used, nicely hinged and displayed on quadrille pages, the most significant material being among the earliest issues, noting #1 used, #2-10 mint, #11-20 mint, #21-24 mint, #25-30 mint, #52/3 mint, #C1-3 mint, then a good run through the 1920s into the Republic issues, some hinged independence and U.A.R. issues as well as Alaouites and Cilicia round out the collection, some faults among the earlier issues, yet many fine-very fine and uncommon stamps.

530 og/nh/O   Worldwide balance strong in France & Germany, in two binders, the stamps generally selected as quality examples, almost entirely European through note a few South American stamps, including Brazil #1 used and #32 mint, within the France we note a nice group of imperforate Napoleon issues, selected for large margins and clean postmarks, mint 20c Pont du Gard including the difficult #254A, two singles from the Paris Exposition souvenir sheet, a selection of mostly mint Merson issues with lovely bright color, good airmails, and an interesting trio of Coat of Arms issues (#460-3) in imperforate pairs, Germany with better States including a nice group of four-margin Thurn & Taxis, Brunswick, Oldenburg, and Prussia, a couple dozen used Eagle & Shield issues, most with choice postmarks, good representation of colonies and offices abroad issues including mark-denominated Kaiser's Yacht issues, and interesting West German tete-beche gutter pairs, Denmark includes used four-margin Coat of Arms issues as well as later inverted frame Numeral issues, as well as a nice used #15, Finland with a selection of very fine Coat of Arms issues with intact teeth, Luxembourg including some of the less commonly seen imperforates and rouletted issues, early used Norway with crisp postmarks on King Oscar issues, Switzerland including a very fine mint #184, Sweden with a nice selection of used Arms and Numeral issues, with socked-on-the-nose c.d.s. cancels, and much more, much better quality than usual seen, typically very fine, a desirable and most attractive lot.

531 nh/og/O   Worldwide trove of valuable circuit books, with particular emphasis on the British Commonwealth, especially on common design issues, noting many books of 1935 Silver Jubilee, 1948 Royal Wedding, with better stamps and singles cataloguing from $50-$100 and more intermingled with more common items, a quick review yielding a used Penny Black, and Gambia #1, we note also Scandinavia, Japan, Russia, Independent Africa, and United States, among others, the majority of books were retired but a large number appear to have been prepared but never circulated, leaving the material unpicked by prior collectors, condition varies as expected, and careful inspection for condition and identification of the higher-value material is strongly encouraged, but overall well above average for an accumulation of this nature, with many fresh and fine-very fine stamps included, massive catalogue value well into the five-figures, an ideal lot for the dealer or worldwide collector.
