769 nh   Italy and area never hinged collection, a magnificent assembly cleanly mounted on album pages in various albums, the Italy Kingdom pages being attractively headed with Italian coat-of-arms embossing; to be remarked as an outstandingly infrequent feature is the fact that the collection is virtually all represented in never hinged condition, resulting in many considerably more valuable sets and values, starting with the early issues, also including marginal multiples, DLR issue with set displaying "Saggio" overprint mounted on official presentation paper, 1911 Unità d'Italia in imperforate proofs, 1922 Philatelic Congress, 1923 Manzoni set, 1928 "Filiberto" 1,25L perf. 13¾, etc., in this semi-modern period also some scarce varieties or unissued examples being represented, Airmails with 1930 7,70L Crociera Transatlantica, 1934 Official Airmail 10L, War Propaganda with 1942 unissued set, special delivery and parcel post stamps, postage dues including 1863 10c -even such early values are found n.h.-, some stamps with advertising labels, following with "Luogotenenza" including very rare 1945 2L on 25c with brownish red overprint n.h. (Sassone 525A) with Sorani certificate, varieties of the the 1943 "Lupa Capitolina" value mounted on 14 pages, Authorized Delivery Stamps with Coralit first issue, and S.A.B.E. set; Occupations with a small WWII representation comprising Albania with also postage dues, Cefalonia and Itaca with 1941 10L with Argostoli hand-overprint showing "Tipy" instead of "Typi" (Enzo Diena certificate), French Occupation of Fezzan with non-overprinted 1946-51 sets perf. and imperf. in corner-sheet examples, Campione, WWI Austrian occupation of Friuli-Veneto, "Irredenti" territories with Trentino-Alto Adige, also including a special section of local postage dues, Venezia-Giulia with first set complete with certificates, 1918 50c essay (Raybaudi certificate), Aegean Islands with local overprints, few C.L.N. issues (two certificates), postal stationery cards unused, etc., few duplication in some sections; in very fine to superb state of preservation, frequently exhibiting good centerings, -also including some marginal examples-, being additional characteristics which also led to highly recommend an accurate viewing of this lot, a must for such an outstanding collection which is very rarely offered to the market; about 75 certificates accompany most of the important positions in this assembly. 770 nh   imageItalian Social Republic never hinged collection, a remarkable specialized assembly mounted on pages in one album, including varieties, plate studies, better local printings of Milan, Genoa, Rome, Turin, Florence, Verona, also with multiples, "G.N.R." overprints on propaganda stamps with various printings including the rare set of Brescia "Trittici" comprising "G.N." type II and "R." type III overprints (Sassone 13/Ia-23/Ia, € 4,400) and values of this set se-tenant with others in multiples, highly valuable examples with Firenze Issue 1944 50L (Sassone 500, €5,000), special and authorized delivery stamps, the latter including the rare local hand overprint applied at top by means of violet horizontal bars with the purpose of canceling the coat of arms of the King, parcel stamps with the complete set including duplication of the 2L & 10L, postage dues with few better valuable varieties, five essays of the unissued "Volta" designs, etc., as well as one cover accompanied by Raybaudi certificate, genuinely travelled and correctly paying the rate with 10c (2)+30c, each with red manuscript private overprint "Rep. Soc. Ital.", which was occasionally accepted to cancel the portrait of the treacherous King; a highly interesting collection which requires a detailed viewing, in very fine to superb condition, the lot being accompanied by 30 certificates.
