1186 og 237a image#237a, 1915 First Peking Printing $2 Blue and black, Center Inverted, position 6 in the sheet of 50, a mint example featuring a luxuriant color and being brilliantly fresh, a bit centered to lower left and still within clear and large margins, this being the characteristic of the first horizontal row of the sheet, original gum, very lightly hinged, a few short perforations at left not detracting from this famous rarity, one of the 'Four Treasures of the Republic', a major gem of Chinese philately; 1964 Friedl Certificate and the stamp signed by Bloch, 2002 Philatelic Foundation certificate; (Chan 245a).So far only forty examples have been recorded, which includes two used, of which one on cover. Despite the variations in the positions of the perforations it is demonstrated that only one sheet of fifty was released. This stamp is from the top row, position 6, which is characteristically centered to the left, with this example joining the top margin imprint single which belonged in the Diercking, Paul Hock and "Ming" collections. 1200 O 2a imageTolima #2a, 1870 5c+5c+10c Black on thick White wove paper, setting IV, the famous se-tenant strip of three, positions 3-5-7, showing soft but very fresh impression, graced by wide balanced margins on all four sides, with large part of manuscript cancel “Venadillo”, faint diagonal crease just affecting one stamp, not apparent on front, absolutely not detracting, the only known example of 5 c. & 10 c. se-tenant used, proving that both values were indeed printed from one plate of ten subjects, contrary to the theory that they were printed by two separate plates, which was maintained by Belgian stamp dealer Moens, illustrated on page 69 of Dr. Gene Scott’s Colombian States handbook, and listed by him as the most important item of the Colombian States, with its importance being compared to Tuscany 4cr inverted tablet; after the famous “Pack Strip” of Brazil, this gem has to be considered the second most important se-tenant piece, as well as one of the most significant rarities of Latin America, a gem of worldwide philately; 2009 Bortfeldt certificate; ex-Wickersham and Scott.
