Note: According to the Brazil-France Convention of July 7th 1860, the single rate for mail carried by French packet between France and Brazil was 280 reis and 430 reis from Austria, so in this case the clerk made a mistake thinking the cover came from France but corrected it.(Image 1) (Image 2)
