1260   imageJEBBA 1900 - EARLIEST RECORDED MANUSCRIPT CANCELLATIONS: The town of Jebba was without a canceller for over a year between 1900-01, so cancellations were made in manuscript, many, it is thought, by the High Commissioner, Sir Frederick Lugard. The two stamps in this lot are believed to be the earliest recorded examples, dated 24 & 25 April 1900. (Image)
