RARE 1937 "GIRL PAT" LABEL & HS: An unstamped env. (faults) addressed to UK with the rare blue label affixed bottom left overstamped with red "Returned from "Girl Pat"/as Illegal Mail." cachet. These labels and hs's are known used on covers from British Guiana in 1937, issued to commemorate the return voyage of a British fishing trawler which was illegally sailed across the Atlantic, resulting in the arrest of the captain and a media sensation.
