with a framed "via Ceylon", the only example recorded by Proud (fine strike, repaired hole in "via"; I51, p.264). Also having red oval "PACKET LETTER/MAURITIUS" ds on the front & framed "CALCUTTA/STEAM LETTER/Bearing" ds on reverse. Also, 11 Oct.
1851 EL (partly printed) of the same correspondence with fine "Ship Letter" hs & crowned "MAURITIUS/GPO" ds on the front & boxed "CALCUTTA/STEAM LETTER/Inland[...]/Ship[?]/Total". Tarry notes that these are the only two covers to this destination he
