243A cover image1914 (June 16): 1 d. red, perf. 11, no wmk., used on special Wizard Stone illustrated Postcard prepared for the first planned official aerial mail flight in Australia from Melbourne to Sydney. The flight was cancelled due to a crash 5 days before the scheduled flight. This card was later carried by train to Sydney where it was cancelled 24 August 1914. The front has an picture of the aviator Wizard Stone and the organiser P. V. Ryan with the aircraft in the sky above. This has a short message. Minor spotting and corner flaws.
