1439 1900/1950ca.: Interesting accumulation of approx. 1'000 picture postcards in total, including ca. 130 from Alsace-Lorraine, among them ‘Hansi’ cards, landscapes, towns and traditional costumes etc. War-related subjects WWI & WWII ca. 330, included some excellent propaganda cards of the Third Reich as well as anti-Third Reich cards, noted: maximum cards franked with ‘Wehrmacht’ series stamps (!), cards depicting Rommel, Hitler, etc. Group photographs of WWI soldiers ca. 50 items. Further material comprises kitsch subjects (Love and Christmas) ca. 130. One album with advertising postcards, four boxes containing ca. 350 cards with a strong focus on France and Germany, and an album of labels, letters etc

1440 image1871/1960: Old-time collection of Hungary (the best part), containing the complete Chain Bridge and Roosevelt souvenir sheets; several imperforate sets of the 1950s. Further collections with Poland, Czechoslovakia, and the Baltic States. Mixed used and unused, the unused mounted in cellophane-type mounts, making verification difficult; however, many examples checked proved to be never hinged. Each country beginning with first or early issues, containing classic stamps, mostly used and in very mixed condition, continuing up to the 1980s ca.. Considerable duplication throughout, but interspersed with better values and sets, including France with the unmounted ‘Renoir’ and ‘Valéry’ sets. A substantial number of covers and cards also present. Other represented countries include Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy and Spain, with smaller sections of Germany (Berlin, DDR and Saar), Romania (well worth inspection), and Switzerland; from overseas only Canada and United Nations
