struck in blue (Coles & Walker unlisted, Ziya fig. 1 - rated 'RRR*'). Naples arrival on reverse (April 24). Slight trim to envelope at left, a splendid cover. Unique. Note 1: The Arabic date in the cancellation reads 1316 + 584 = 1900. However
the cover was used in 1899 - therefore the manufacturer of the handstamp was using the Muslim Lunar Calendar in which the year 1316 covers the period May 22, 1898 until May 11, 1899. Note 2: This cover is illustrated in the Ziya catalogue 'E - G' on
