Sent without charge or proof of payment, the service having been paid for by the sender of the original registered letter (or other item of mail) at Alexandria. (imperf.) and 4 d. marked “Existing Colours”, Keytype stamps in carmine perf. 14 (marked “1d” alongside) and in brown perf. 12 ("6d"), both without duty marked “Proposed colours for surface printed stamps” and with overlap piece bearing stamp in blue, perf. 14, in red-brown, perf. 14 (with ´X´ across face) and 1d. (apparently oxidised) the first two without duty marked “2½d Proposed colour, being that established by the International Postal Convention for this duty 4d.” and “6d” respectively, the last two bracketed as “Proposed colours”.
