2114 ** image400 Years of Printing in Montenegro 1893: 7 Nkr. rose, fourth printing, perf. 11, surcharged in red, the magnificent unused pane of twenty-five, well-centred and of fresh vibrant colour, large part to unmounted og. An outstanding and exceedingly rare multiple with only 1'000 stamps surcharged thus Cert. Velickovic (1989). Mi. = € 1'250+. Note: As these stamps were surcharged in Cetinje in panes of 25, such quarter sheets of the original stamps are the largest possible multiples. It is believed only two of these now exist, a number of others having been split up and sold off to collectors in the 1930's. For the other quarter-sheet see the Victor Coenen collection, Corinphila sale 165, December 2010, lot 1511 (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)
