This cover would have been supplied to the addressee direct from the Sana'a Post Office upon request and receipt of payment, nevertheless rare (Image 1) (Image 2)

1116 cover image1926: Inland Postage, 5 b. black on white, imperforate on horizontally laid paper, a used example with large margins all round on reverse of cover tied by negative seal handstamp in black and by horizontal pen line; addressed in Arabic to "The Local British Delegate, for his excellency the honourable Lord Lloyd George" and, upon receipt, was probably forwarded by Diplomatic bag to the Prime Minister in London. Imperfections to envelope with two vertical creases which do not impact the stamp. Rare. Note: David Lloyd George, 1st Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor (1863-1945), was Prime Minister from 1916-1922. 1119 cover image1933: Cover sent registered to Pernambuco, Brazil, multi-franked with 1930 and 1931 adhesives all tied by HODEIDA cds's (Sept 30, 1933), initially intended for the 1931 Zeppelin 9th South American flight but arrived too late at Friedrichshafen with typed label on reverse stating that the Zeppelin already departed with Aden cds (Oct 5), Friedrichshafen cds (Oct 25) and Pernambuco cds (Nov 7). 1120 cover imageSaudi Arabian Occupation of Yemen 1934: Saudi Arabia Heir Apparent 3½ g. blue, a used example on 1934 cover beautifully tied by bilingual "HODEIDA" circular datestamp in black (May 22). Reverse with "Aden Camp" cds (May 24) in black of arrival. Tiny closed tear at top of envelope mentioned for full accuracy, otherwise superb and very rare. Note: The Saudi-Yemeni War. Hodeida was captured by Ibn Saud's forces on May 4, 1934. By the date of this cover, peace negotiations had commenced. Peace was eventually signed between King Ibn Saud and the Imam of Yemen on 14 June 1934 and the last Saudi troops left Yemen on 7 July 1934. Saudi Arabian stamps used in Yemen are recorded between May 15 and June 23, 1934. Provenance: Collection C. Angus Parker, Cavendish, Derby, 22 April 2009, lot 304 (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

1043 (*) image1963: Original Artist’s Drawing for the 40 ch. Fishing Industry Issue. Hand-painted artwork in final design, executed in gouache and ink on card (186 x 103 mm.), depicting fisherman with floats and net, boats and seabirds in background. This design was adopted for the issued 40 ch. stamp of 1963. A unique and important piece of Korean philatelic history, of museum quality and high exhibition value.
