Service" from the Treasury to Major Maclean, with London crowned paid cds and oval 'Paid Ship Letter / London' in red (30/6/42). The other, a commercial entire addressed to Lieut. Glen of the 3rd West India Regiment on McCarthy Island, River Gambia, marked 'Pd' with Charing Cross despatch datestamp (3/7/43), rate '8' and with a 'Paid Ship Letter / London' dated oval also in red. 922 cover imageIncoming Mail: 1871 Post Office Notice "West Coast of Africa Additional Services, Changes in one of the dates of Sailing", dated 30 January 1871, providing details of the five departure dates of sailing from Liverpool. To the reverse, a private notation made in 1875. Some creasing as would be expected for such a document, otherwise in a good state of preservation.
