Provenance: Corinphila sale 45 (April 1958), lot 3842; London 2015 Europhilex Rarities Auction, Corinphila, May 16, 2015, lot 25; Note: The stamp offered here originated from the famous block of nine found in a small leather jewel box in 1947, and illustrated in the 'The British Philatelist' in June 1947 - a photocopy of the article and the block accompany this lot.
